These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Costa Rica Paradise's Website, located at https://costaricaparadiseto.com.

All intellectual property rights are reserved. You may access this from Costa Rica Paradise Tour Operator for your own personal use subjected to restrictions set in these terms and conditions.

You must not:

  • Copy or republish material from Costa Rica Paradise Tour Operator

  • Sell, rent, or sub-license material from Costa Rica Paradise Tour Operator

  • Reproduce, duplicate or copy material from Costa Rica Paradise Tour Operator

  • Redistribute content from Costa Rica Paradise Tour Operator

PAYMENT POLICIES:

  • For group and individual reservations, we require a 50% deposit for all services included in the itinerary 30 days prior to the clients’ arrival, and the remaining balance must be paid at least 15 days before arrival.

  • Additional payment policies may apply depending on the properties and services included in the travel itinerary.

    MANDATORY PREPAYMENTS:

  • Due to high demand for rooms during certain dates, some hotels require mandatory prepayments instead of written guarantees. Therefore, our sales representatives will inform you for each confirmed itinerary if mandatory prepayments apply, the total amount to be prepaid, and the deadline by which we must receive the payment. If the mandatory prepayments are not received by the deadline, Costa Rica Paradise will NOT be held responsible for the automatic cancellation of these services. This policy is an exception to our general payment policies, as it depends exclusively on the hotels, reservation dates, and the number and category of rooms reserved in each itinerary.

    PAYMENT DEFAULT:

  • Costa Rica Paradise reserves the right to cancel services due to non-payment. All services must be 100% prepaid at least 15 days prior to the date of the first service, in accordance with our Payment Policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Costa Rica Paradise declares that it acts solely as an intermediary between the passenger and the companies providing the services included in the itineraries, such as hotels, tour operators, transportation companies, restaurants, domestic airlines, among others.

  • All providers are carefully selected and meet the essential requirements to deliver services, known for being responsible and efficient companies, and all of them are covered by full insurance.

  • Costa Rica Paradise will not assume any additional expenses due to strikes, earthquakes, weather conditions, accidents, road conditions, or extreme situations beyond our control. We reserve the right to change or cancel any tour or service and to use the services of another affiliated company if necessary.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • Refund rights for changes or cancellations to your reservation are limited. The following charges apply (Provider refers to Hotels, Car Rental Companies, Tour Operators, Local Airlines, etc.):

  • 30 days or more before arrival – $25 fee, plus any penalties from the Provider.

  • 21 to 30 days before arrival – 25% charge, plus any penalties from the Provider.

  • 14 to 21 days before arrival – 50% charge, plus any penalties from the Provider.

  • 13 days or fewer before the arrival date – 100% charge.

  • Once the tour has started, no refunds will be issued for unused portions.

IMPORTANT FACTS:

  • Rates are subject to change without prior notice.

  • While Costa Rica Paradise does its best to maintain current rates, providers may delay notifying us of changes. Rates are subject to change until the reservation is confirmed.

DOCUMENTATION:

  • U.S. citizens must have a valid passport (visas are required for some countries). It is the responsibility of all travelers to obtain the appropriate documentation and information. Costa Rica Paradise accepts no responsibility for changes in documentation requirements or for any denial of entry or exit. Passengers denied entry due to missing documentation will not receive a refund. Cancellation policies apply to cancellations resulting from incorrect documentation.

SCHEDULE CHANGES AND DELAYS:

  • All flight schedules are based on the information available at the time of confirmation. Due to changes in international flights, schedules and itineraries may result in the cancellation of some activities for which NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. We do not accept responsibility for changes or delays caused by airlines, hotel overbookings, weather conditions, strikes, illness, war, civil unrest, or any other cause beyond Costa Rica Paradise’s control.

MODIFICATIONS TO CONFIRMED ITINERARIES:

  • For confirmed itineraries, there is no charge for the first two changes. For three or more changes, Costa Rica Paradise will charge an additional fee of US$25.00 per modification. Please inform your clients accordingly.

CANCELLATION POLICIES AND OTHER CONDITIONS:

  1. To guarantee a reservation, passenger information must be sent via email, and payment must be made after confirmation.

  2. Special information, such as date changes, special meals, accommodation, etc., must be submitted in writing by email to our office at the time of the initial reservation.

  3. When making a reservation, the client must request written confirmation from our Reservations Department as a guarantee.

  4. To avoid charges for day trips, cancellations must be made in writing at least 24 hours before the tour departure time.

  5. Charges for canceled excursions that require accommodation are subject to the individual hotel’s cancellation policies.

  6. Costa Rica Paradise is responsible for conducting a tour once confirmation has been received. Any tour cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour departure time will be charged in full (for day trips).

  7. If a passenger has to cancel a tour less than 24 hours before the tour departure time, Costa Rica Paradise will offer the option to reschedule the tour date. This only applies to regular tours (day tours).

  8. Regular tours are defined as day tours operated by Costa Rica Paradise.

  9. In the event of a “no-show,” the service will be charged according to our regular rates.

  10. Costa Rica Paradise will wait for a passenger no more than 5 minutes after the specified pickup time. After 5 minutes, the guide will ask the hotel receptionist to stamp a document as proof that they were there on time and will continue the tour with the other clients. The client will be charged as a “no-show.”

  11. For group and individual itineraries, packages, and special services, other cancellation and payment policies may apply.

  12. Your credit card will be charged the full amount at the time of purchase. The service is not guaranteed until full payment is received.

  13. A cancellation made 2 weeks before the arrival date: No charge to the client.
    A cancellation made 1 week before the arrival date: The client will pay 50%.
    A cancellation made less than one week before the arrival date: The client will pay 100%.
    (Subject to individual hotel cancellation policies).

CHILDREN:

  1. Passengers over 11 years old will pay the regular adult fare.

  2. Passengers between the ages of 3 and 11 are considered children. Their cost is 75% of the adult fare.

  3. Passengers under the age of 3 are considered infants and are free of charge. Parents will cover their expenses and provide their meals.

OTHER POLICIES:

  1. COSTA RICA PARADISE reserves the right to change the route of any trip if it is deemed beneficial to the client. COSTA RICA PARADISE reserves the right to exclude any tour participant if their behavior is in any way detrimental to the well-being of the group.

  2. In some cases, COSTA RICA PARADISE acts as an agent and uses the external services of hotels, tour operators, restaurants, transportation companies, or individuals, etc. In these cases, their insurance and cancellation policies take precedence over ours. However, our vehicles are covered by the best insurance allowed by the government of Costa Rica.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS REGARDING THE USE OF CLIENT IMAGES AND PHOTOGRAPHS:

By using the services of Costa Rica Paradise, the client agrees to the following terms and conditions regarding the use of images and photographs taken during trips organized by the agency:

  1. Authorization for the Use of Images and Photographs
    By participating in any of our tours or activities, the client grants Costa Rica Paradise their consent to capture their image and/or photograph during the experience. This consent also includes the use of such images in promotional materials, social media, websites, advertising, and any other communication platforms used by the agency.

  2. Purpose of Image Use
    The captured images and photographs may be used for promotional, educational, or commercial purposes by Costa Rica Paradise, including but not limited to brochures, advertisements, marketing campaigns, social media posts, blogs, and the agency’s official website.

  3. Image Rights
    The client understands that Costa Rica Paradise is the sole owner of all images and photographs taken and therefore has the right to use and distribute such images without any additional compensation or prior permission.

  4. Exclusion from Image Use
    If a client does not wish their image to be used for the aforementioned purposes, they must notify the agency in writing before or during the activity so that appropriate measures can be taken to respect their preference. In such cases, the agency will make reasonable efforts to avoid capturing or using their image in the mentioned materials.

  5. Privacy Rights and Data Protection
    Costa Rica Paradise is committed to respecting clients’ privacy and handling any personal information in accordance with current data protection regulations. Images and photographs taken will not be sold to third parties without the client’s express consent.

  6. Limitation of Liability
    The client acknowledges that Costa Rica Paradise will not be held liable for any damage or harm resulting from the use of their images in promotional media, except in cases of improper or malicious use.

  7. Acceptance of Terms
    By contracting the services of Costa Rica Paradise, the client agrees to these terms and conditions regarding the use of their image and photographs and grants the agency the right to use such images as outlined in this document.

If the client does not agree with these terms, they may contact the agency to discuss alternatives or request to opt out of image use.
